Traditions may seem timeless, but holiday songs, stories, and rituals all have histories, too. From war-inspired carols to eggnog-fueled riots to space-age aluminum trees, this exhibit highlights the many ways Americans have celebrated, commercialized, and created new traditions in the Christmas season.
